About BJD
Although ball jointing has been used in dolls since the 1800s, the modern ball-jointed doll (or BJD doll) is generally associated with a style that originated in Japan at the end of the 20th Century. Their design is a combination of realism influenced by Anime, the Japanese illustration style often seen in animation. BJD dolls are made of hard resin or vinyl. Their ball jointing allows for very expressive posing. Their faces and makeup are almost always painted by hand with considerable skill.
Our new line of BJD dolls will be with us soon.
