The 15 inch seated doll is a true One of  Kind in porcelain by Sarah Stuart Maldonado. She represents a young lady of the hill tribe of the Golden Triangle, which is the union of Myanmar, Thailand and Laos.  She wears entirely hand made distinctive costume of the area in the style of Yao. Also known as Mau or Mein.  This is a tribe of  Northern Thailand and the chief features of their dress are the use of indigo dyed cotton . A love of red and rich intricate embroidery. The members of the tribe are also known for the fact that they wear silver jewelry which is a sign of their wealth.

The costume of the doll has been entirely hand made by the artist, including the embroidery. She also wears real silver jewelry , which shows her wealth. She comes seated on a silk cloth laid upon a log.

She comes with a hand written certificate from the Artist, confirming that she is a true One of a Kind doll and that she will never be repeated or the face used again.
